Element Markets LLC is headquartered in Houston, Texas, and is majority-owned by The Rise Fund, TPG’s global impact investing fund.

Angela Schwarz
Co-President and Chief Executive Officer
Angela Schwarz

Angela Schwarz, Chief Executive Officer, joined Element in 2007. She has over two decades of experience in the energy industry, and closed over $3 billion of energy outsourcing and infrastructure contracts with Fortune 100 companies in both the deregulated and regulated power and gas markets. Angela joined Element Markets as Vice President of Development and under her direction, the Company built a successful development portfolio of wind, solar, methane, and greenhouse gas mitigation projects. In 2012, Angela was promoted to President and CEO and has led the company through the evolution of the environmental commodities market place. Prior to joining Element, Angela was Managing Director at Enron Energy Services (EES) responsible for running EES’s commercial origination group. Following Enron’s bankruptcy in 2001, Angela worked on behalf of the Creditor’s Committee until 2003 to manage the liquidation of some of EES’s most valuable assets. She also held senior sales and operating positions at Trilogy and Honeywell.

Randall Lack

Randall Lack

Randall Lack is a successful entrepreneur within the environmental commodity and alternative energy industries for almost two decades. In 2005, he co-founded Element and currently serves as Co-President. Mr. Lack’s extensive experience in structuring environmental commodity transactions including biogas, emissions, renewable energy credits, and greenhouse gases has eclipsed $1 Billion in total transactions completed, which has led him to be recognized as one of the top executives in the environmental markets. Randall is an acclaimed speaker and media resource in the areas of Biomethane, Renewable Energy Credits, Greenhouse Gas Trading, Regional Emission Markets, and pending emissions legislation and was a founding Board Member of the Renewable Natural Gas Coalition. In 2013, Randall was awarded the recognition of 40 under 40 by the Houston Business Journal recognizing him as one of the most influential young people in business in Houston. He received his BBA in Business from the University of Houston.

Quentin Hicks

Quentin Hicks

Quentin Hicks joined Element Markets as Chief Financial Officer in 2021. Prior to joining Element, Mr. Hicks worked at Gulfport Energy Corp., a publicly traded natural gas-focused exploration and production company, as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from August 2019 to May 2021.  Prior to Gulfport he worked for Halcón Resources Corporation, where he served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Mr. Hicks joined Halcón in August 2012 following the merger of GeoResources with Halcón, where he served as Director of Acquisitions and Financial Planning at GeoResources from 2011 to 2012. From 2004 to 2011, Mr. Hicks worked in investment banking with Bear Stearns, Sanders Morris Harris, and most recently Madison Williams, where he was a Director in the energy investment banking practice. Prior to that, Mr. Hicks worked as Manager of Financial Reporting for Continental Airlines. Mr. Hicks began his career in 1998 as an auditor for Ernst and Young LLP. Mr. Hicks graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science degree in Accounting. In addition, Mr. Hicks holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Vanderbilt University and also holds a Certified Public Accountant license from the State of Texas.

Leslie Ward

Leslie Ward

Leslie is a CPA and has an MBA with a concentration in finance. She currently oversees the accounting and treasury functions of the company as well as structuring and contract management. In addition, Leslie is responsible for the generation and reporting aspects related to renewable fuel credits. Leslie has extensive experience in the energy industry, with a focus on power and natural gas.

Tom Moffett
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PRODUCTS
Tom Moffett

Tom Moffett joined Element Markets in 2017 to anchor the company’s Carlsbad, CA office, where he leads the West Coast origination supporting Element Markets’ efforts in the Renewable Natural Gas, Renewable Fuels Standard Credits (RINs), Low Carbon Fuel Standard Credits, renewable energy trading, carbon credits, and emissions credits. Tom is an experienced leader in the biomethane and environmental commodities marketplace. Prior to joining Element Markets Tom led the origination efforts in renewable natural gas for Shell Energy North America, including the company’s entrance into the cellulosic biomethane market. Under Tom’s direction, Shell Energy North America began participating in the trading and optimization of environmental credits in the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) and the EPA’s Renewable Fuel Standard (RINs) markets. Tom also managed Carbon Instruments and associated strategies for Shell affiliates and external customers. Tom graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.S. in Management Science, and completed business courses at the London School of Economics.

Keri Richardson Bevel
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT & GENERAL COUNSEL
Keri Richardson Bevel

Keri Bevel joined Element in 2009 and was promoted to serve as a Senior Vice President and the Company’s General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in 2011. Ms. Bevel has extensive experience negotiating and drafting RNG and environmental commodity agreements (totaling over $1 billion of notional value to date) as well as acquisitions, divestitures and other corporate transactions. In 2015, she was recognized by the Houston Business Journal as one of Houston’s best in-house counsel by being named a finalist in the ‘Best Corporate Counsel Awards’. Prior to joining Element, Keri served as an Assistant General Counsel for The Structure Group and also as Vice President and Counsel for Lehman Brothers Private Equity. Keri started her legal career in private practice at Simpson Thacher and Bartlett LLP in New York City, where she specialized in corporate and securities matters, mergers and acquisitions and private equity. Keri holds a BSBA in Accounting and Master of Accountancy-Information Systems from Auburn University and received her Juris Doctor from the Duke University School of Law. Ms. Bevel is licensed to practice in Texas, New York and Alabama.

Scott O’Neill
Senior Vice President of Operations
Scott O’Neill

Mr. O’Neill leads the operations and compliance teams for biogas, renewable natural gas, renewable electricity, carbon, and emissions. He joined the EM team in August of 2020 after working for Waste Management for 25 years where he helped build and led their renewable natural gas program. He recently completed an M.B.A. in Finance from University of Houston – Downtown, complementing a B.A. of Mathematics from William Jewell College and a B.S. of Engineering and Public Policy from Washington University – St. Louis. Mr. O’Neill is actively involved with the Renewable Natural Gas Coalition, where he serves as Chair of the Renewable Gas Advisory Board.

Andy Brosnan
Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development
Andy Brosnan

Andy Brosnan joined Element Markets in May 2020 as Director of Strategy, helping to bring renewable natural gas (RNG) to the sustainability markets.  He now leads the company’s business development and strategy team identifying growth opportunities across the RNG, emissions, carbon, and low carbon fuel markets.  Prior to joining Element, Andy served twenty years in the U.S. Army as an Infantry and Special Operations officer, Assistant Professor of International Relations at West Point, and Defense and Army Attaché at U.S. Embassies in Africa.  Andy is a graduate of the University of Virginia, and holds a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Brooke Donohue

Brooke joined Element Markets in 2021 as the Head of People and Culture where she is leading the strategic development of the people function. Brooke’s expertise in delivering HR transformation and powerful people experiences helps drive employee performance and business results. Brooke has extensive Human Resources experience and was most recently the Director of Human Resources at Pacific Drilling.

Brooke is on the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer’s Association Houston and Southeast Texas Chapter, where she serves on the Executive Committee as the Development Committee Chairperson. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Development from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Mike Stone
CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER, THE RISE FUND
Mike Stone

Michael Stone is the Chief Investment Officer of The Rise Funds and a Co-Managing Partner of TPG Growth. He is also the Founder and Managing Member of FS Investors, a family office. Prior to that, Mike was a Senior Partner and past President of J.H. Whitney & Co., a diversified manager of alternative investments and the country’s first venture capital firm. Mike is a 1984 Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude graduate of Duke University, and 1988 MBA from Harvard Business School. Mike serves as Chairman of Wilderness Holdings, Element Markets, and several public companies. He serves on the boards of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the Madison Council at the Library of Congress, Scripps Research Board of Advisors and Rady Children’s Hospital.

Marc Mezvinsky

Marc Mezvinsky

Prior to joining TPG, Marc was Vice Chairman at Social Capital, leading its evolution into alternative financial products beyond venture capital with potential to support portfolio companies across their life cycles, including in credit. Prior to Social Capital, Marc founded a hedge fund, Eaglevale Partners, alongside two former Goldman Sachs colleagues to focus on currencies, commodities and bonds. Early investors of Eaglevale Partners included Lloyd Blankfein, former CEO of Goldman Sachs and Marc Lasry, founder of Avenue Capital. Prior to founding Eaglevale, Marc served as a senior partner at 3G Capital, running a global-macro fund. He started his career on the emerging markets foreign exchange strategy team at Goldman Sachs, later transitioning to the global macro proprietary-trading desk.

Marc currently serves on the Board of Pembroke College Foundation and the Ann Romey Center for Neurologic Diseases, which works toward improving the future of medical science through collaborations with similar organizations and undertakes research aimed at improving quality of treatment.

Marc received his undergraduate degree in Religious Studies and Philosophy from Stanford University, and an M.A. in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Pembroke College at the University of Oxford.
