  • Origination Analyst - Environmental Markets

    The Analyst will be responsible for preparing presentations for the managers and customers; work closely with regulatory compliance experts; develop financial models; and provide due diligence and analysis. The best candidate will have at least a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Sciences, or Finance with 1-3 years of related experience. Must be able to work well with people and be self-motivated. Business Development, Energy, Finance, or Regulatory Affairs experience a requirement. Analyst candidates are bright entrepreneurial persons able to perform in a combination finance/research role.   • Operations Analyst - Environmental Products

    Element Markets is seeking a full-time operations analyst to support the company’s carbon desk. The position will be based in Houston, TX. Interested and qualified applicants should email their resume and cover letter to Heather Rogers at hrogers@elementmarkets.com.

    Responsibilities:
    • Manage carbon offset project data collection from 20+ projects nationwide
    • Assist in carbon offset project verification and credit issuance processes
    • Provide analytical support for projects and initiatives to help shape EM’s corporate strategy
    • Research and report on voluntary carbon protocols—examine new opportunities for carbon offset generation
    • Work cross-functionally with operations, accounting, legal, and leadership to support internal reporting and financial projections

    Requirements:
    • Demonstrated analytical process thinking and problem solving – prior professional experience, internships and/or collegiate research
    • Successful project/task management track record. Attention to detail is a must
    • Strong skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Data analysis/visualization experience is highly preferred
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific data and technical information in layman’s terms
    • Knowledge of carbon markets, GHG policies and markets, and related regulatory policies preferred
