Keri Bevel joined Element in 2009 and was promoted to serve as a Senior Vice President and the Company’s General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in 2011. Ms. Bevel has extensive experience negotiating and drafting RNG and environmental commodity agreements (totaling over $1 billion of notional value to date) as well as acquisitions, divestitures and other corporate transactions. In 2015, she was recognized by the Houston Business Journal as one of Houston’s best in-house counsel by being named a finalist in the ‘Best Corporate Counsel Awards’. Prior to joining Element, Keri served as an Assistant General Counsel for The Structure Group and also as Vice President and Counsel for Lehman Brothers Private Equity. Keri started her legal career in private practice at Simpson Thacher and Bartlett LLP in New York City, where she specialized in corporate and securities matters, mergers and acquisitions and private equity. Keri holds a BSBA in Accounting and Master of Accountancy-Information Systems from Auburn University and received her Juris Doctor from the Duke University School of Law. Ms. Bevel is licensed to practice in Texas, New York and Alabama.
