Element Markets, LLC, headquartered in Houston, TX , a leading asset manager in the Emissions Markets, announced today the addition of Kyle Breeze and Faizal Hassan to the Emissions Services Group.

Kyle Breeze joins the firm as Director on the Emissions Markets Team and brings a deep knowledge of the emissions credit and environmental consulting industry. Prior to joining Element Markets, he served as a Client Guardian for Sage Environmental Consulting, primarily engaged in Emission Banking and Trading. Mr. Breeze serves as a Subject Matter Expert for Emission Banking and Trading in policy discussions between Texas Trade Associations, the TCEQ and EPA.

Faizal Hassan joins Element Markets as Associate on Emissions Markets Team and comes to Element Markets with a five year career as a Project Manager generating, certifying, and marketing emission reduction credits in the Houston-Galveston-Brazoria nonattainment area. During this time period, Mr. Hassan provided technical and strategic support to approximately one third of the HGB emission reduction credit generation projects submitted for certification to the TCEQ. Mr. Hassan has also participated in the revision process to the Texas Emissions Banking & Trading regulations, providing insight on the potential impacts of the revisions to the various industrial sectors in Texas.

About Kyle Breeze, Director – Emission Markets

Kyle has ten years’ experience in the environmental consulting industry and is recognized as a specialist in Emission Banking and Trading regulations, generation and usage strategies. Since 2011, Kyle has been primarily engaged in Emission Banking and Trading, having spearheaded twenty-two ERC generation projects and applications in addition to serving as a Subject Matter Expert on Emission Banking and Trading for policy discussions between Texas Trade Associations, the TCEQ and EPA, especially those discussions focused on area and mobile source Emission Reduction Credit eligibility and SIP integrity.

Prior to 2011, Kyle was engaged in numerous roles providing air quality support to the refining, chemicals, terminals, and oil and gas industries. He has a broad experience base ranging in everything from tracking down BWON drains and performing LDAR audits, to coordinating and enhancing site compliance systems, to managing million dollar EHS improvement projects, to supporting large capital projects. His experience in working as an engineer and manager through all levels of air quality issues combined with his emission marketing experience gives him unique insight into the air quality challenges many companies face when operating in nonattainment, or near-nonattainment areas. Kyle earned a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Texas (Austin) with minors in Environmental Engineering, Product Engineering and a Business Foundations Certificate (AKA Business Minor).

About Faizal Hassan, Associate – Emissions Markets

Faizal Hassan comes to Element Markets with a five year career as a Project Manager at an environmental consulting firm. Mr. Hassan specialized in generating, certifying, and marketing emission reduction credits in the Houston-Galveston-Brazoria nonattainment area. During this time period, Mr. Hassan provided technical and strategic support to approximately 30% of the HGB emission reduction credit generation projects submitted for certification to the TCEQ. Since 2014, Mr. Hassan has also participated in the revision process to the Texas Emissions Banking & Trading regulations, providing insight on the potential impacts of the revisions to the various industrial sectors in Texas.

Along with his primary focus on emission reduction credits, Mr. Hassan also provided traditional environmental services such as permitting and compliance to a wide variety of industries including oil & gas production, refining, petrochemical, and specialty chemicals. Mr. Hassan is also an experienced trainer in oil & gas regulations and optical gas imaging technologies and has presented on multiple environmental topics and challenges at environmental conferences across the United States. Mr. Hassan obtained his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin while focusing on emerging environmental and energy technologies.
